And can it be happy indoors.? (I m talking about the olive pits...from olives you would buy at the supermarket deli)

Those pits were pickled and I think that kills their viability. So I do not think they would grow.

But if you see any olive trees (at neighbors or at casino landscaping in warm areas, then getting a cut off branch to grow roots from might be a good way to try propagating an olive tree.

I don't have an answer for that, but i planted a seed from a avocado in a house plant and it grew and grew and after it got 5 feet tall i planted it out doors and its still there, it hasn't produced any avocados yet but its growing. I have also done that with lemon seeds and now have two lemon trees. I will now try an olive pitt, thanks for asking

olives that you buy have been cooked, or salted therefore the seed is dead

I think they have been cured and are essentially dead.
