People always say you have to love yourself first before you can love another but how can you tell if you really love yourself? I can say that I love myself but how can I prove it? What are the signs of loving yourself and if you find out that you don't love yourself how can you love yourself more?

You know you love yourself when.......You always feel good about who you are........you always feel confident about who you are and you can love someone unconditionally. If there is even a hint that you aren't worthy of another, then step back and find all the good things about yourself and let go of the lack of self worth.

When you love yourself you are self confident and proud of yourself. You always are concerned that you do your best and you usually will. You feel comfortable being alone. You enjoy the company of other people and never put them down or find fault in them. Then and only then are you capable of having a mature relationship with others.

I think that, if you love yourself, you generally keep a high opinion of yourself. Not arrogant but confident. You don't let other people's comments about you get you down and you don't care what people think about you.
If you believe you're special, why does it matter if everybody else believes it?
As far as loving yourself more, it comes down to taking good care of yourself psychically and emotionally. Instead of wishing somebody would do something nice for you, do it for yourself.

I believe conscience has a lot to do with it. After all, it is what keeps you awake when something is not right within you.What does yours say?
I believe you will smile more than you frown.
I believe you encourage others rather than ridicule.
I believe you will see it in the faces of other people. Like a reflection in their eyes that says, I like you.
I believe you will have a positive outlook and that love will be the motivation behind your actions.
I have to wonder how many people actually know the definition of love? I am not a religious finatic but, I do like the Bible definition the best. Here it is...
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

You love yourself when you look out for yourself, your health and wellbeing (smoking/drinking/unprotected sex). You take care of yourself mentally and physically because you realize that you are making a investment in you. Don't allow others to hurt or abuse you. Surround yourself with positive people. You take precautions and drive down the highway of life defensively. Always remember! Don't give up on you, you are totally worth it.

Don't be used. Be a friend and help out your friends but DON'T let anyone just use you. Love yourself to know the difference.

You can tell if you love yourself if you are happy and comfortable being alone. Can you do things alone? Do you respect youself? If you can spend time by yourself and are happy with you're life then I would say you love yourself.

well, theres differnt stages of loving yourself, and if u go too far, then nobody ll ever love you! the good way of loving yorself (in my opinion) means just appreciating yourself, not letting people get you down, or use you, and being comfortable in yourself, having enough confidence to put ideas forward, but not so much that u have to push them too far. basically, just realise that your an amazing person

You know you love yourself when you know what your strengths and weakness are and accept them. You love your self when you do not judge others who are different from you, but listen to their opinion and open your mind. You love your self when you know your self in every way. The only advice I can give is to open your heart and mind, so that you may learn from everything that goes on around you.
