Maybe it's not always because they are a threat to the U.S., Saddam was a threat to his own people, and winning democracy in Iraq would profit America by having them as an Allie in the war on Terror. The war isn't fake, but we aren't fighting against Iraq, we are fighting for Iraq, and training their military and law enforcement to defend their country independently. We are helping them fight against the insurgents, the terrorist that enter Iraq.

Saddam was only arrested by our troops. His own government judges condemmed him to hang. Why are you so worried about Saddam? If you care so much, go live in Iraq.

What makes you think it is fake? Oh let me guess--the planes flying into the twin towers was a conspiracy too, right?
Hitler wasn't a threat to the US and we caused his demise. Should we pay for that too?
Milosevic wasn't a threat to the US. Should we pay for Yugoslavia?
Who exactly are we supposed to pay?

One thing you have to understand. The USA did not completely screw up everything. They made sure the trial was (supposedly) by the people. This way our government could not get the blame. We all know we had a very big hand in it all by influence. I think we should concentrate on something we might be able to pull off. like have a long list of those to be charged with war crimes.
