I applaud you because your first step was admitting it to yourself so actually you have begin the process of stopping your next step is to work on being happy for everyone that has something you want and expressing it to them and believing it as you express it but do not over express it because it would look like you are not really honest but do it in a modest fashion. always compliment and mean it from your heart the very thing that would normally make you jealous and also beware of people that likes to make you jealous as well because it is known that people also like to brag and make others jealous and then there are those that like to brag only but always know you are in control of your feelings you have choices to be jealous or not so choose wisely. Your outcome is up to you. But your change already has begun I hope you go all the way Remeber you can control your thought process you are the master of your thoughts think good thoughts every time you are challenged with jealousy and take control and you will master your jealousy and become not jealous of no one and everything infact some may become jealous of you because you are not jealous. Always wake up and say I am not jealous but I am happy for all who succeed and for all who have nice things believe what you are saying and watch the change of mind and heart.

It's a coping mechanism. It keeps you from connecting to people. Look into why you don't want to connect with the world, not why you're jealous.

ask yourself if you have reason to be jealous,is this person addind fuel to the fire by knowing how you feel or are you simply distrusting them,if you are distrusting them talk with them, let them know how you feel and perhaps they can ease your mind, let them know that you are very jealous and would appreciate their help in dealing with the problem, that you have a very uneasy feeling where they are concerned

You have to find this within yourself. If you are happy with yourself, you will know you have nothing to be jealous about.

Maybe you should be thankful for what you have, and not envy everyone else's life.
