I don't recall ever reading that the Far East or the West becoming "inflamed". "They may "react negatively", 'respond militarily', 'become stubborn'--but inflamed? I've never read that. Why then do we hear of Muslims (even referring to themselves) becoming "inflamed" all the time? Can't they just sit down and 'talk' perhaps even discuss? Is it because they're culturally just inflammatory? Can't help flying off the handle? Does it just "feel good" to 'flame out'? What's up with that?

That is a really interesting question.

Because it is all political machinations with the goal of unrest and war in the final end.

I am Muslim and I have yet to meet someone who is "inflamed" by events in the world. Nor have I ever applied it to anyone I know. They might get a tad hot under the collar or passionate, but inflamed? No. Inflamed is a great way to say, "So hot we did not think and let our passion over run us."

Remember, the words of the press are put in just such a way to effect the thinking of people, their perception of events. Such expressions, while very accurate in painting an image, may not always be completely right.

There are a lot of mililtant Muslims. They embrace intolerance and are easily politically manipulated by religion. Look to the Sect of Wahabbism that is so prevalent in Saudi Arabia. It preaches intolerance of others including Muslims who do not accept their brand of fanaticism. NOT all Muslims are supporters of such militant Islam. There are so many factors it is impossible to know where to begin. Just know, not all of us can be so generalized.

Some of us are actually thinkers and humanitarians.

I am trying to imagine Dr. Muhammed Yunis being"inflamed" by anything beyond his passion to help the world's poor. I cannot imagine my beloved sister "inflamed" by anything more than her love for her children.

Some people, some races, are hotter tempered than others. Some are also just a generation away from tribalism. These people can be "inflamed" by unscrupulous manipulation of others.

Sweeping generalizations are not very applicable.

What a crock. I am a Muslim and i never use the term "Inflamed" or hear other Muslim say it. We have every right to be mad about certain things just like anyone else, but for you to suggest we all "INFLAMED" about anything is simply YOUR opinion not fact. Muslims do sit and talk, discuss and debate many issues without violence or the word even coming into our thoughts or the conversation. I dont "fly of the hand" with anyone ever, neither does my husband or his family. You maybe should get to know a few Muslims instead of believing everything you read and hear in the media. There are 1.5 billion Muslims less than 1% of them are extremists so you are the one "feeling good" to "flame out" insults and inaccuracies about Muslims. Nice job at spreading stereotypes, hey that never gets old does it????
