If by grammies you mean vapid, talentless top 40 piano monkeys, microphone banshees and utterly pedestrian recording console commanders glorifying their galactically inflated egos with another superfluous red carpet swank fest scheduled specifically to displace my and other people's favorite shows....
Then yes, I care about not missing my favorite part - Mad TV standing on the red carpet to make the celebrities uncomfortable, once that's done, I switch to the discovery channel.
I'm pretty neutral on the issue really.

Well, we DO have to make life mean anything. The Grammies are just another way we create meaning. If your work stood to win a Grammy, you'd care, in the sense that it's nice to know what you did mattered to someone.
I can't say I really care about the Grammies -- but if such a thing did not exist, I'd think it was a curious absence. Like, how could the record industry miss a chance to promote stuff by giving awards? And, don't pop musicians want to matter?

Even if this is the philosophy section, I still don't care about them.

If it weren't for our Grammies, our parents wouldn't have been born. Then where would we be? Seriously.

The artists and record companies do. Beyond that, no one really cares.
