i hear after hurricane Katrina that real estate has gone up in Louisiana and i am thinking of moving there in two years to a place called Harvey, Louisiana. Anyone from there or La and can tell me what it's like and what to expect, the cultures and languages and food and social norms? thanks .

I live in new orleans. There will probably still be some damage and stuff but houses are starting to be rebuilt a lot now. Real estate is going up as is the prices of the houses. The cost of living is expensive here. There are more eating places coming out now. Hope this helps.

The price increas in housing here started long before the storms hit. The area surrounding New Orleans has a lot of variations in real estate pricing, all depends on what street the house is on really.
