I believe you have a total misconception of what this war is about. We are not at war with Iraq, we are there to support it's new democratic government, and to fight against those outsiders or religious fruitcakes that refuse to accept the present government.
Our efforts are being challenged by the evil Iranian government. This is a country (Iran) that is attempting to have wide spread influence throughout the middle east. Most middle eastern country's oppose the idea of Iran having anymore power than it already has, and would not agree to a US withdrawal.
The democrats will say anything to get back in power. These silly people are running around the country telling everyone the US should withdraw its troops, but they say nothing about resolving the problem in Iraq or the middle east. If the problem in Iraq and the middle east isn't resolved before our troops come home, then the problem will follow our troops home!
You say the war is futile, but first reread the last sentence of the last paragraph. Do you want to see another 9/11 in this country?

Right now the war is making to much money for the big boys at the top. Its all about money oil and draining this country dry by our own politicians. It never was about anything else.
