The injection does work but isnt suitable for every person. I had it and it stopped my periods which was great, and i never became pregnant!!! But my skin became really really bad. very dry, flaky and spotty. It depends. if you have no problem with your skin it would be ok but if you have any probs with your skin id advise against it. It alsio made me hungrier but as long as you watch what you eat you wont gain wait.

Hope this helps a bit

There are 2 types that I'm aware of. It can be great for some and was for me for a few years. I was on the depo one but a word of warning: I was never reviewed on it for 5 years and ended up with what they termed 'depo poisoning'! It doesn't happen to everyone but users are now advised to only be on it for 2 years, with regular reviews. As a consequence, my body thought it had gone into menopause, I gained 3 stone, my teeth started softening dramatically and the pain it caused I can still feel (1 year later). The hormone deficiency has thankfully been reversed, the 3 stone weight gain reversed and I am almost back to normal now, thankfully! Oh, minus quite a few teeth and plus a lot of fillings and root canal work! Please be careful. They warned me the long term effects weren't documented! Oh well! Best wishes,

Yes, i was on it for a couple of years. the downside is that it really mucks up your periods, when you first have it some people find that they dont have a period for a few months, i had spotting continuosly for about 3 months tho. Also when i came off it, it took a very long time - a couple of years, for them return to normal.
