Out to pasture, hopefully.
He's actually been a pretty selfish player for the whole of his career, and what he did to the Astros last year and seems poised to do to any team this year is the epitome of that ugly, ugly trait.
Any GM who actually thinks about it will refuse to offer him any type of a contract.

Didn't really do anything?? Hold up.
How about one of the best ERAs in the game.... again.
The only reason he didn't have a better W/L was the rest of the team, and not just the offense. I believe the bullpen took away a few of his W's as well. He could have easily had double-digit wins last season if his teammates woulda pulled their weight.
But thats the past.
2007? I was leaning towards thinking he was going with the Astros again... BUT after hearing his remark about how playing for a non-playoff team last year (read: Astros) was a waste of his time, I fully expect him to follow Andy to New York. I don't believe Boston is in the running.
I think the only thing that'll influence him to stay with Houston is if the Astros start the season with another remarkable run in April and May like in 2006. But if that doesn't happen, he's headin back to the Bronx.
Oh, and he's not retiring. He'll pitch for the remainder of his natural life.

Roger Clemens will definitely pitch this year. He hinted as much when he was quoted as saying that he is not very good at retirement. His decision, I think will come down to two things. One is how much does he want to pitch this year. Does he feel like pitching in May or June? Number two (I think) has already been decided, in that he wants to go out a winner. So actually it boils down to who has the better chance of winning, the Yankees or the Astros? I think he's already made up his mind for the most part. It just hinges on when will he be ready to go. I think the Yankees will eventually sign him to replace the departed Randy Johnson and he will probably make his first start near Memorial Day (May 28th).

New York. Clemens wont pitch until after All Star break. He does not have the stamina to pitch a season anymore. Whoever gets him will be in pennant race. New York most likely.
Dont count Houston out. If New York strives with Hughes then maybe Clemens wont be needed.

I don't think he'll retire. He to me is kind of like a Brett Favre. Everybody thinks that he'll retire but he keeps on playing. I think he has 3-5 good years left in him. I think the Yankees will land Clemens. They have more money than th Astros and Clemen's longtime friend Andy Pettite.

The Yankees all the way, look at what he said in his little interview a few weeks ago. He said he has had his teamates called him to persuade him where to go, and his teammates in Houston, so have the guys up there in Boston. He refered to the Yankees as his teamates first, he also refered to Boston as 'those guys.' He want's to win, he won't with Houston, he called last year 'pointless.' Between New York and Boston, I think he will go with Pettitte, the team that gave him his only ring, and not the team that rejected him and said he was past his prime. The Rocket will be landing in New York soon, just wait.

i think of Clemens will bypass back to Houston, it incredibly is the smart pass. The Yankees would be ok, they are off to a sluggish start up, they have began off sluggish till now. it incredibly is the media, who leap the gun on the yanks. The previous few years, all and sundry starts to dig the grave, and them blamo. AL East champs, they only continuously seem to discover a manner

IF Clemens pitches again, it will be with either Houston or maybe Texas. There is no way that he comes back east to pitch.

The Yankees give him a better chance to win another World Series. His buddy Andy is back in New York so I think he'll sign with the Yankees.
