Brakes or wheel bearing

I'm not sure what you mean by "something dragging on floor", but I had a car that made a grinding noise on one wheel when turning. I researched the symptom and found that it could have been a wheel bearing or damaged suspension parts, but it actually was the tire scraping on the plastic trim of the wheel hub. The mud guard trim had come loose or been bumped a bit closer to the wheel and as a result made a grinding noise only when turning in a certain direction. Maybe your car has the same problem. Hope so, 'cause it costs $0 to fix as opposed to wheel bearings and cv joints.

Grinding during cornering is indicative of collapsed wheel bearing.

Although, usually the sound would be from the wheel taking most weight, which is opposite to the cornering direction.

Jack up the front corner, grip the wheel top and bottom .If the wheel rocks more than the slightest click then it is clearly a wheel bearing fault.

It is a possible DIY repair ,but can be a little involved.

Hi
It usually means your wheel bearing needs doing....(if you turn to the left & hear it then its always the opposite wheel! X
Also do you hear a grinding noise when you reach 40mph an over? as this is an example too!!

This sounds like what we just had and it was a wheel bearing. Costs about £100 to have fixed

Check the wheel lug nuts. They may be loose and the rim may be scraping on the brake caliper, especially if it is steel wheels. Steel wheels flex more than aluminum wheels.

take it to a repair shop and ask for a free estimate...they will tell you what is wrong and about how much it is to get fixed... it could be a wheel bearing,or a brake caliper...
