India lost the match because it was not India's day and Sri Lanka played better cricket. Even when India were cruising comfortably, Sri Lankan Bowlers did not loose confidence and bowled brilliantly without any pressure and put Indian batamen under pressure. The Indian Batsmen wilted under prssure and lost the match, which they should have won comfortably.

Sri lanka is a better team than they were 15 months ago when they last visited India. even without their ace bowlers Murali and Vaas they play smart cricket. Their top order fell earlier but smart play by Kumar Sangakara and Dilshan shows how things could change. India believe in bringing the old experienced players like ganguly and Shewag could change things around....Indian team need a lot to improve and it's going to take quite some time.

The only misjudgements is India getting their wickets smacked and Sri Lankan batsmen smacking the cricket balls over Dhonis head.
Rain or no rain, Sri Lanka is the world's number one cricket team.

No one can describe how India lost a match from the point, where looked only one result, that India would win.
With 6 wickets in hand, 100 runs to score and asking rate less than 5 runs and you loose. I think only Indian players can answer your question. No one else. Of all players, Dhoni at crease and you loose this match. Tried to find reasons. I have completely failed. Sorry.

1.They forget that most experienced jayasuriya is bowling in da final overs.he is great bowler in depth overs.

2.They lack the ability to face malinga's feary 145k -150k balls and yorkers although dhoni was a lucky dude loose his stumps of a no ball.
