Since your PC tuner can't receive satellite channels, that explains why you only get Ch 3.

You should definitely be able to get the analog comcast channels, but unless you have a digital (Clear-QAM) tuner, you may not be able to get the digital channels.
When you go home do a new "channel scan" to see what Channels you can get.

If you have Windows Media OS, then yes, you can use your Xbox as a Media Extender and watch TV from your PC using your Xbox
.
Not all Vista versions support media extender functionality (I think you need Vista Home Theater)

you need a digital tuner card for digital channels, cable or direct tv, and you need to be able to connect to the internet to get TV schedules. You can connect Xbox and your computer with a wireless network.
