you have to take it within 72 hours, and I guess you wait for your period, if it hasn't come in a week, I'd do a pregnancy test. Good Luck. :)

you need to take the morning after pill within the first 72 hours
after that it is the ciol whichis effective for up to 5 days
when taken the morning after it is effective with in 12 hours
but jut to be on the safe side take a pregnancy test if you are late as they are not always effective

The sooner after the act that you take it the better but you do have up to 72 hours. It may bring your period on earlier but it doesn't always. Your period may be when you expect. If it doesn't come at all best to check a pregnancy test but this may not show positive until 2 weeks after the missed period if you are pregnant. Don't worry though it usually works.

well it is called the morning after pill so it only takes a day or so.

It is fully absorbed and will begin to work within hours. That is why if you are sick straight after taking it you may have to take a further dose. Your period however will not come till its due date or up to several days late.
