I've never met a Republican who thinks anybody can win a nuclear war. That's why we are striving to keep nukes out of the hands of rogue states like Iran and North Korea. What we can't figure out is why you leftist appeasement monkeys feel ["think" isn't what people like you do] you can trust nutjobs like Kim Jong Il and Ahmadinejad to act in a sane and peaceful manner if they get nukes.

Perhaps you children should step aside and let the adults handle it?

You are right, no one wins a nuclear war, and even Republicans know that despite your liberal bias telling you otherwise.

Republicans aim to prevent nuclear war through deterrance and going after countries and groups (al Qaeda) whom we are confident will use a nuclear weapon against us if they could.

When the Soviet Union and US were in the Cold War, we deterred one another from using nuclear weapons through the promise of mutual destruction. So while both of us made more nuclear weapons than we'd ever need, this had the effect of preventing such a war in the first place.

The US will not be the next to use nuclear power, but if it's used agains the US, all bets are off. The US would retaliate with all the fury necessary to bring it adversary(s) to it's knees, and without thought to world opinion.

In a nuclear war against the US, there could be no winners! The US would see that it's enemy is destroyed, even if more than one country was involved. Out strength on that end of the spectrum is second to none, there will be no winners if that were to occur.

In 1941 a small Asian country with an attitude problem bombed Pearl Harbor destroying American Battle Ships and killing many Americans. Four years later we Nuked them. Their attitude problem quickly disappeared and today they are our Allies.

Nuking Iran would definitely tell them that their very bad attitude needs to change and since we have Nukes and they don't we would be better off making it a one sided Nuclear war.
