If they are sincere, why don't they put thier money where their mouths' are? Adopt some kids like Angelina, Madonna and Meg Ryan did. You don't see them on the internet getting free publicity for their cheezy movies and fake hair.

i don't know if it's about the publicity or money or genuine- but whatever it is, i believe it's about getting people to become aware of the problem. perhaps it's not the time to be questioning these people's motives, but about trying to come up with an answer.

Psst... It's their failing careers that they're trying to save, not hungry children. If they were that concerned about the starving millions they could easily donate money to charities anonymously.
The latest sign of a failing career is for a celeb to ask a question on Y!A

THEY don't want to help Third World kids, they want US to put up the money.
By the way, those people you named who adopted kids, did indeed do it for the publicity and for no other reason.

I agree with a lot of the answers here..
Its not just celebs with failing careers that are at it.. many celebs, are constantly whining save this and that..I agree DONATE DONATE DONATE..thats what I try to do and I dont have celeb money

wel, a lot who really care about it, go out and do somethin bout it, they do adopt kids, lyk madonna, angelina, meg ryan, leonardo dicaprio ( yea, he's a adopted a girl too, just not a daughter, he's more of a sponsor for her). or they hav 2 many kids themselves, for their likin. or um... they wouldn't really lyk to adopt kids, but they still help. lyk oprah winfrey.

EXACTLY! They're the millionares...majority of them aren't married (or divorced millions of times)...So they have all that money for themselves. Talk about selfish! Donate their money and then we'll see if we can donate the little amount of money (compared to their's) that we have!

i know, i absolutely hate that. they ask things like
"how can we feed starving kids in africa?" uhhh duhhhh, donate like 1% of your MONTHLY paycheck and save them yourself!!
i don't believe how they try to get publicity.....it IS disgusting
