Been there! Same symptoms and they didn't see what it was on an ultrasound or any other test! They decided to do a laparoscopy, to rule things out but found out by accident what was wrong! It was my appendix inflaming. My particular one had fused against my right ovary, inflamed and was pushing against my intestines, causing my intestines to narrow at that point! Took them over a year to find this out!
Anyway, pain from your appendix can radiate to seem like it's coming from any point in your abdomen area but does not have to be the type where you have to have it removed - could be a grumbling appendix - that inflames a little and then calms down - although if it is, I would still recommend its removal. It is very safe and quick to do now, using only keyhole surgery.
I hope that whatever it is will be resolved for you quickly because I know from experience that those symptoms, nomatter what the cause, are no fun!
On the 2nd subject - best to pop back to your GP for recurrent infections as they may be able to give you something else to see it off for a long time (preferably forever!) and they could also run some tests to see if a stubborn, underlying infection is present and tailor your treatment to banish this underlying cause. I wish you good fortune with both of these things. :-)
Best wishes,

1. Abdominal pain can be for any reason and sometimes the pain is felt in that area while the cause is somewhere else. It can be caused by problems along the digestive tract or elsewhere. The causes are ruptured esophagus (the tube leading to the stomach), perforated ulcer, irritable bowel syndrome, appendicitis, pancreatitis, gallstones, hiatus hernia or inflammation of the stomach lining. You need to have urine and blood tests as well as x-rays taken because ultrasound can't pick up everything.
If you press against the abd. and you have pain, but when you release the pain increased instead of subsides, this can indicate inflammation of the stomach lining.
There really is no way of saying for sure. You should go to another doctor who will to a decent examination. I hate it when a doctor tells you "OK go for an ultrasound" and that's it. They're supposed to really look at you, examine you, send you for tests.
2. You have to use the treatment again. Thrush pops up after with periods even after you healed. I assume you used a cream? Use that cream again just before you have your next period, even if you show no symptoms, for 3 months. You shouldn't wash yourself so much. Your vagina can clean itself, but you keep interfering. I have 2 washcloths- one for vagina, one for anus. They are kept apart and boiled once a week in salty water. I don't use soap or anything else. When I shower in the mornings I just wet the cloth with warm water and gently clean those parts. That's it. Wipe from front to back when you defecated because stool can infect you too.
Don't consume too much sugar- thrush loves it. Consume probiotics like yoghurt with live cultures and buy a good probiotic from your health store. This will infuse your gut/colon with healthy bacteria which helps fight against thrush. Ensure a good diet. If this doesn't work you should have your immune system checked out.
Good luck (had thrush once)

As far as your first problem, I don't know what to tell you, sounds new to me. I hope they get it figured out.
Question #2 on the other hand, I am dealing with thrush right now. My son has thrush of the mouth, and I breastfeed so I have it also. We are having to treat both of us with Nystatin. I also went to the store to buy some Acidofolis for me. It is the bacteria that lives in your body normally. The thing with thrush is it is yeast/fungus overgrowth, and can be tricky to treat. Normally the bacteria and the fungus keep each other in check competing for space, when this is disrupted through antibiotic use or other things, the yeast will overgrow. I wouldn't use any "ladies wash stuff" unless it is reccomended by your dr. That could be your problem. There is a balance of bacteria in your vagina and using douches or feminine sprays or washes can disrupt your body's natural balance of flora. Washing 2-3 times daily is unnessisary also. If you feel like you need to freshen up that many times in the day due to your yeast infection, wash using only water. Make sure you are wearing cotton undies, not thongs or satin etc, as these can aggrivate the problem. It seems that in trying to help the problem, you may only be prolonging your misery. Good luck!!

Have you seen a gynecologist? I think you need to investigate this abdominal pain further. An ultrasound is not enough. You need a pap smear and a blood work-up. In short, you need a specialist.
If the gynecologist cannot find anything, find another doctor. Also see a gastroenterologist for additional testing. These are symptoms that should not be ignored, or played down.
Get out there and represent your health care needs lady. You are your only advocate, I don't care what anyone else says. This is not normal.

You could have an overgrowth of Candida in your gut. Try having some colonics to wash to yeasty organisms out and then supplement with a good quality probiotic. Stop washing with the lady stuff. Wear a panty pad instead and keep changing it. Olive oil kills candida on contact so you can use that to deal with the external issue. You might also benefit from following a Candida diet - there are loads on the internet so just do a search.

Hi. I am afraid that I can't give that much of a scientific answer but I have had similar problems with thrush reoccuring. I have found that if you reduce the amount of sweet stuff in your diet this helps, however if you have not been to the doctors about it then i would do as it may be that you have sugar in your urine. Alsomy problems have reduced since I came off the pill. Hope this is of help

Hi, I am a RN. Please get an echocardiogram and/or a stress test. It is prudent to rule out cardiac involvement. As for the thrush, have you recently taken a large dose or an extended period of antibiotics. This could account for the thrush. You need nyastatin for that, and evaluate your antibiotic or steriod uses (such as prednisone, solumedrol or thatwhich is found in many asthmatic medicines). I hope this helped. (by the way, nyastatin is a prescription med, like flagyl.

you could have a kidney infection which is causing the pain and also the bacteria from the infection could be travelling down ur urethra to cause the recurring thrush...also reduce your sugar intake as sugar can ferment in the gut and reduce friendly bacteria whick keeps thrush away..you should also consider taking a pro biotic supplement or a probiotic yogurt everyday to try clear the thrush from the inside out

With regard to the thrush. I had it for 12 months constantly after I'd had my daughter. Often used to get it around period time. It was a hormonal thing - change in hormone levels. Once I'd had hysterectomy, I never got it again!
Only thing cleared it was the oral medication Diflucan and use canesten cream too.
I sympathise - it's miserable.
