steady shot for chase scene?

How would you get a steady shot during a chase scene if you're shooting from in front of the person running and are running with him?

You could use a vehicle with a steadycam. You could use a dolly to track the shot. It's possible to use a steadycam on foot if the person isn't sprinting. It also depends if you are using a DV, a 35mm, or a 16mm camera.
