My car is all shaky and vibrates a lot when i park it or put the gear in neutral.What does it need to have fixed? It´s a 1996 Toyota Tercel

i forgot to mention that my car has manual transmission,not automatic

Sounds like weak/broken motor mount or you have a misfiring cylinder(s).Have you're mechanic take a look at it.

You have one or two dead cylinders. Unplug spark plug wires one by one at idle - be careful not get electric shock, use special pliers or at list a thick rug. If engine behavior does not change with a particular wire unplugged - that cylinder is dead. Could be just a wire or spark plug - replace those first. If it doesn't work, you have a more serious problem that will need professional help.
Oh, one more thing - a bad engine mount may cause similar effect but they may not be easy to check without a rack.

nutrual shouldn't vibrate as much as park or drive. I would just sugguest looking at your motor mounts. its the things that hold the engine to the body of the car.

sounds like the motor mounts to me.
