I was drumming (bass drum) in two parades the past two days. Each parade was 5 hours long and the drumline played constantly. My wrists are extremely stiff, along with my fingers. My both my pinkies are slightly swollen. What's the best rememdy for this besides rest? I need to be able to use them in a few hours as I have to play tennis. Any help to make them not hurt as much would be great.

Soak them in warm water, with Epsom salt.
Great for sprains, bruising etc....

If this is not good enough...try heat and cold therapy.....20 minutes each interval.
Ice, with skin barrier for 20 min..
Heating pad, 20 min
.....repeat....

Note:
No pain medicine, unless absolutely needed, as it's hard on your liver and kidneys.

Tennis?...in a few hours? Maybe not a great idea, unless you want to hurt more.

You need to rest your wrist and hands, going to play tennis is only going to aggravate the already inflammed area. I would apply ice packs to reduce swelling, keep your hands elevated. Take some Tylenol,as directed.

Cold packs for swelling and heat packs for pain. Applied for no more than 20 minutes each at a time. And you do need to rest them as well. Good Luck.
