I was driving one night about 7 years ago. A vehicle passed me going the other way. As he went by, a deer came out from behind the vehicle and ran into my lane. I didn't even have time to slow down (which was probably a good thing). The deer caused $1,800 damage to the front of my car but flew up over the windshield without breaking it. I never knew if I actually killed him though because it looked like he got up from it and went into the woods.

yes....not once but twice.....first damage was $865 worth and the second cost me $3500 to fix the damage.....it still bothers me to drive certain times of the year when I know the deer are moving a lot

I hit one, and he (she?) rolled up over the hood and smashed my windshield. Slid off when I hit the brakes. Spazzed for a while and got up and left.
All the rest seem to get off the road before I can hit them.

No but I did hit a bird once. It just swooped down in front of my car and I hit it with the front end.

Not only did I kill one but took it home, cleaned it and ate it. Most of the time they are too mangled to mess with but this one was not to banged up.
