Definitely not - depends where you live, but I live in Scotland and the winters are much milder - we have not had snow at all this year and only once last year. When I was young we had it all the time.

I don't know if this a day vs night joke or a real question. I'll opt for real question.

Here in the New England states, it has been getting steadily warmer, on average, for several years.

December 2006 was the warmest on record. January was unseasonably warm. I often went out wearing just a shirt and slacks. 70+ degrees in January? Are you kidding?

There also has been very little snowfall, and we'll be in for a heck of a drought this summer if it doesn't change soon. A large volume of our spring and summer water comes from melting mountain snow, especially from the White Mountains, and there is little snow at present.

No way! 1956 was very cold indeed and 1962/63 was a madhouse of a winter. Huge snowdrifts and SO cold. 1982 was the last bad one. Winters now seem mild by comparison.
