i caught my boyfriend of 20 years txtin another girl he said he did it 4 attention but he gots loads of good loving off me im realy hurt and i get so angry he says its me he loves but i doubt him all the time please help

This is totally unacceptable! This man is not only being a pathetic swine for whinging that he needs the attention (when ur already givin him loads of attention) but hes completely smashing your self-confidence and I have seen too many of my friends become a nervous, paranoid mess because of their good-for-nothing boyfriends.
You have to tell him straight that if he dares do anything like that again, you'll leave him for good because your not sharing with another girl. Make sure your the one who has the final word.
If he just whinges, then get rid. Your worth so much than better and don't deserve to be treated like this

Cheating is whatever the two people in the relationship agree is cheating (people shouldn't assume a universal rule). Even if texting isn't cheating, it still might be hurtful. I would recommend that, if you haven't discussed it yet, that texting isn't technically cheating (since you haven't set any rules on it), but you still have a right to say that you're hurt, and talk about it. And then you need to discuss what the boundaries are now for the future.

if you've been with this guy for 20 years and you still don't trust him he's either untrustworthy or you have serious confidence issues yourself. You're obviously old enough to have learnt a thing or two about human body language and give away signs, so go with your intuition.

yeh if the text messages are rude or inappropiate then dump his
*** but if they are just friendly banter then its fine, trust him for the moment but if ur still insecure about the whole matter then get rid of him, cause hes a waste of space, also how does he treat u, does he still love u do u?.x

20 years and still your 'boyfriend'. whats the deal with that guy. why arent you at least engaged =|. his lack of commitment doesnt bode well and if he is looking for attention now, this doesnt look good for the future.
if your in a relationship that doesnt make you feel good then whats the point. give him up
