What most guys really want for Valentine's Day is for it to be over. In the estimation of most guys, they feel it's a holiday invented by Hallmark. They usually suck it up, and do something nice for their significant other only to stay out of the dog house or keep from sleeping on the couch.

The best gift for a guy is something he wants. Get him a new CD that he's been talking about of a poster of the band he likes. If he's a gadget guy then buy him something for his computer or a gift card so he can download songs onto his iPod.

Get him something cool and "guy-ish". Something that plays to his guy-ness and doesn't embarrass him with too much romance and the "mushy" stuff. Catering to his hobbies and likes will really please him. Try a CD from his fave band, an accessory he's been wanting for his iPOD or cell phone, or a hot shirt that fits his style. Then, sneak a small, simple little card in with the gift. Hope that helps.
