My ex-boyfriend is from Kerala and lives in Switzerland. How important is a woman in India? Is a woman respected as a man like in my country or is a woman only an object to marry and have sex? I would like to know.

look u have a nice Q. Indian MEN are good with INDIAN women.
HOWEVER today to marry a SWISS Girl is inviting trouble because after the intial few days or month, she may not be able to adjust in INDIA. There for both the boy and girl will be having only sex and getting married and later stay apart if the boy is from good family. If boy is good he will either try to shift to Switzerland or may be come back to INDIA and live alone and both may just meet every three months. so most of the INDIANS are good.
HOWEVER Kerala people may be little different and may be just looking for sex with a foreigner beautiful girl. So be careful and watch your steps

You are asking all Indian boys for which I would like to tell that India is a vast country with different tribes and languages. We have different religion, different custom of which some like Garo and Khasis in Meghalaya practices matrilinear system, the womens are highly respected and inheritor of the properties as they are weaker group in compare to men. The soil and climatic condition too differ from one place to another , so as the boys too are diferent from each other, majority are good and conscious but not at all. You have tried with the Kerala but you never knew the North East , best known as Scotland of East and Switzerland of East.Next time better try the best and true one
instead of wasting time.

In India, boy's parents usually demand, force and take from girl's parents, huge money, costly clothes/ articles, gold & silver and some 2-4 wheeler as dowry for marrying. Such demands continue even after marriage also. On nonpayment, wives are brutally killed or burnt alive to ashes to marry any other wealthy girl with huge dowry, despite stern anti dowry laws. Wives are usually harassed and subjected to mental & physical cruelty therefor, though an offence. Female fetus are sometimes destroyed in womb to get rid of a daughter. Women are kept out of house during menstruation. Girls are considered a curse and given no or less education. Hindu daughters have no share in inheritance/ succession. Females are less than 5% in Govt. jobs; and are paid less for their labour.

honey! boys everywhere are the same.but i think Indian boys are more sweet as in caring. yes they are taught to respect women here but only some who belong to good, educated families actually do it. women are given importance here in the cities at least. but if you find a nice guy with a good family where even the women of the house are educated definitely go for it

Indian boys are by and large respectful, they are assertive,demanding and intelligent also. You should try an Indian boy working in Europe. They are pretty exciting guys, the Indians in Europe.

well our society is quite similar to latin american society.here we do respect females & always try to be a gentleman with them.we love our mother more then any thing else & we understand importance of family & try our best to preserve & nurture it .
