A recent issue of the TV Times mentioned that the new series would start in March. Since then, the BBC Press Office have confirmed that the series is pencilled in for March 24, but that that date is not yet set in stone.

April 7th is when the first episode of the third series is on BBC1, and the episode is called Smith and Jones

When the christmas episode was aired they said the next series would be shown in spring. The web site ( http://www.bbc.co.uk/doctorwho/ ) says the same, so not long now. Hurrah.
