The theme is something Red... it can be dyed. I don't want to bring something store bought. If you have ideas, please help! I can cook anything.

Thisi is a great, easy salad/parfait that everyone loves.

Strawberry Valentine Parfait is what we'll call it today.

Bag of frozen strawberries (16 ounces or so)
16 oz tub of Cool Whip, slightly thawed
1 sm.pkg vanilla instant pudding
2 containers of strawberry yogurt (6 or 8oz.)

combine while the strawberries are still frozen. Keep it in the fridge for an hour or more for the berries to thaw. Stir again before serving. It's nice a red and delicious, and easy, and it makes a nice looking dish in a pretty clear salad bowl.

How about a pasta salad, containing anything you wish, but be sure to include heart-shapes cut from red bell pepper! Actually, if you live in a city with a gourmet store, you might even find a heart shaped pasta mix, which as I recall, actually had some of the pasta hearts in red.

You could make red velvet cake and decorate it with pink frosting/Valentine's Day sprinkles/etc. Another idea would be a fruit salad with all red fruits (and you can dye the sauce pink for an extra touch).
