I always hear people (on movies) talk of a $2 hooker. Is this like a made up thing or are there really people who do this?

That's just an expression but yes, people all over the world will sell themselves for anything they need-a cigarette, a pack of diapers, a diamond bracelet. It's not just the US-it's everywhere and it's always been done.

Sadly, it's true. Crack whores sell themselves REALLY cheap. That's what addiction does to people.

i would say it has happen at some point in history. it is more just an exaggerated metaphor though.
