There are +\- reasons to stay in a condo rather than an all inclusive. The condo is more expensive, but you have all the ammenities in your suite - laundry, cook your own food, your own fridge, etc. Some people find condo life boring because there are no planned activities or guides to tell you about the attractions in the area. You are kinda on your own.

I always recommend people stay in an all inclusive for their first visit to mexico. Everything is taken care of for you and you can just spend your time getting used to mexico and learning about the lifestyle. Then, if they want to come down again, get a condo and stay longer.

"All inclusive" - do you mean meals , facilities , transfers.

Most hotels here will charge extra for meals, but the use of other things is worth factoring in. Have a look over here:

As long as you don't mind cooking and making your own drinks while "home".

I like the resorts because there is alot to do right there, they have shuttles, taxi service at the curb, the beach, food, drinks, entertainment, and other people to meet!
