I think it's gotten to be a popularity contest. I remember the days in the 80s and 90s when Song or Album of the year would be something that no one has ever hears. Like when Steely Dan made their comeback. I think back then it was based on merit, song-writing, style, etc.
I'll be watching probably. It's cool, some of the live collaborations they put together.
