At least once a week, an uncommon phrase will crop up in daily life more than once. You know the saying 'touch wood', well i heard it three times in one day? Today I saw the words 'a charmed life' twice, each one in a different magazines. These are just recent examples, i've had loads in the past months. What is this? Does it mean anything?

It's coincidence to a degree. You said it was an uncommon phrase, so you payed more attention to it. Then that resonated with you when you saw it or heard it again.
It's probably not that it's really that weird, more like you noticed it so are more susceptible to remembering it, and you are recalling that memory the second or third time it popped up. Since you hadn't payed attention to that phrase or word in the past, it feels strange to keep seeing it pop up.
Make sense?

Hope that was helpful! :-)

I dont know, but I get the feeling, it has quite a significance for you. You are noticing these things and it seems these things are telling you something about spirituality. Do you think you may have a gift of clairvoyance or something, and these are signs that you need to improve these gifts. I am only guessing, but if you are noticing these things and are having questions as to if it means something, then in all probablility it does have a significance for you. You need to work out why these things have a significance for you. No-one on here will be able to tell you how your mind is thinking...only you know that. These things you are noticing obviously does have significance for you, and I think if you anaysed your spiritual self you would understand what the signicance is.

Doesn't mean a thing.

Partly, as others have suggested, you notice them, and don't notice when you hear it once.

The other thing is, randomness is much streakier than people believe.

So, if something happens, say, once a month, that's an average, and in fact it will often happen more or less than that -- often by quite a lot.

Random things (like dice rolls and such) can be quite streaky, but still truly random.

I believe things come in cycles...There is a saying that deaths happen in 3's.....anyway..I have had this happen to me and it is weird, but, I think it is just during certian times in life that we become more aware of the world around us.....

Some one answered they must be signs(or something like that) I would have to disagree, because if it was a sign for you, then you would be moved to take action, to do something...
