2y - 5x - 2 = 0 can be the equation of a straight line in the plane, or an equation in two variables. Please clarify what one it is, and what you need to do with it.

Not sure if you are just asking what values would make that equation equal 0 but one solution is y = 1 and x = 0.

Going to have to be more specific in what you are asking.

you have to like set x to zero then solve for y. and then put the answer you found for y in and solve for x.
