Dry it out and once you have done that put it in a safe place where it won't rip.

Dry it out. Just lay it out on a windowsill in the sun. Then preserve it in a clea book report cover.
What I do is dry them out and then donate them to the local schools. I work in a pet shop, and the science classes LOVE to get the snake skins of different species and sizes. The kids study them for markings, thickness, and size. Its just a fun thing for them

They usually just fall apart after a while, but you know that your snake will always shed again.

dont put it in a bag lay it flat somewhere for a few days then gently pin it to the wall
