It depends on the what the copyright holder of the clip wants. You know for sure they want you to stream it online with You Tube. Saving it for playing offline later is probably OK. Redistributing it probably not. Work it out with the clip submitter if you have doubts.
You can use a tool like http://keepvid.com/ to save it.

I don't think you can. I use Metacafe, or Thatvideosite.com
it works like You Tube but you can download and upload.
They're not watched so close for copy write violations as You Tube is.
