I am not familar with Remote Assistance but what you ar elooking to do can be accomplished using a tool called Remote Administrator. Not sure of its costs but it will allow full control over remote machines with the client installed.

There are many programs out there that will allow you to do just that. Some are, PC Anywhere, Remotely Anywhere (I use thisone) and Virtual Network Connection (VNC) (Thisone you can get for free at http://realvnc.com. Any of these programs includding Remote Desktop, will allow you to fully manage your computer from a remote location anywhere in the world. I personally recommend, VNC and Remotely Anywhere.

Before you use VNC, make sure to have a password setup. Good Luck!
