It was the priests reponsibility to prepare the body for mummification.
After washing and purification rituals, then would begin the prperation of the head.
The brain was sometimes left intact, but usually removed and dicarded.
The removal was done by inserting hooks up through the nose and moving them in a circular pattern, until the ethmoid bone gave way.
Then a long spoon like intrument was inserted to scoop out the brain, leaving an empty cavity.
The next major stage was the use of the "Ethiopian Stone". A ritual preformed by a priest who was usally shunned at all other times because of his duties. The removal of the organs.
This was done by making a slit from left to right with the stone knife that was made of Ethiopian osibisan.
The incisition was made across the diaphragm. He then removed the liver, lungs, stomach and intestines.
The kidneys and heart were left behind.
The liver was cleansed and enbalmed in oils. Then placed in a canopic jar protected by Imsety.
The stomach in a jar protected by Duamutef ,the lungs protected by Hapi and the intestines by Qebhsennuf. The four sons of the God Horus.
These four canopic jars were sealed, and would be placed near the sarcophagus at the time of the burial.
The body was thoughly cleaned and rubbed inside and out with a salt called Natron.Thenn buried under a pile of natron crystals for at least 40 days.
This was called the "Natron Bath".
After this time the body was a changed into a withered and darkened dried corpse. It would be nessessary to tie back on finger and toe nails and later cover them with stalls.
Many other cosmetic procedures and rituals were carried out as well.
The corpse was washed, purified and dried. Then packs of natron and sawdust and wads of linen soaked in oils and resins, were used to fill out the shape of the body. Including reforming the facial features.
The mummified body was then sewn up and sealed by molten resin that was poured over the entire body.
Cosmetics were applied to the face and often an elaborate wig was placed on the head.
The wrapping was done with linen strips that had prayers written on then.
An individual mummy would requre about 445 sqrare yards of material. In amongst the bandaging, amulets for protection by various Gods were placed.
For the rich a mummy mask was made.
Then the mummy would be placed into its coffin which may be only one of 3or 4 according to wealth and station. Each coffin fitted inside the other like "Russian dolls".
The it would be taken with much ritual to its burial place and placed into a stone sacophagus.
Or for the less wealthy a family or communal cache.
The whole process took around 80 days from death to burial.
In recent years several attempts have been made to recreate the process of mummification. This was carried out on animals.
None have as yet proven successful. Those done in the 1980s are showing a lot of decay. As can be seen in the Luxor Museum.
The mummifications done in the late 1990s are looking as if it still remains a lost art.

By "embalming" these bodies
Its a process, they take the dead body and empty it from all organs execpt the heart coz Pharaohs was believing in ressurection after death, thats why they were leaving food & water with the dead body when they burry it
By the way, Embalming TILL NOW is one of many pharoahs' secrets that nobody figured it out

To mummify the pharaohs, they had their brains hooked out through their nose, all organs except the heart taken out & put into little canopic jars, and they were soaked in natron salt for 80 days. Then they are washed, oiled, and wrapped in linen with amulets and talismans tucked in. If you're asking how they lasted this long, its mostly because they were mummified well. And stuck in an airtight sarcophogus, pretty much.

your question doesn't make sense. "how did the pharaohs make dead people til now"? i think you're asking about mummification. it just involved taking out their major organs, putting some sort of special chemicals on the body and then wrapping them in bandages.
