My husband did the exact same thing and frequently tries to destroy my cookware however the best saviour that involves no elbow grease whatsoever, is to fill the pan with hot water and pour in some dishwasher powder let it soak for like 20-30 mins and then swirl around a dishbrush all that stuff is loosened right off. If you don't use dishwasher soap powder then try washing powder. Good luck

If you get a large bunch of rhubarb and boil it, it will produce a paste which you can then coat your old pot with and let sit for a day. The acid in the rhubarb will eat away any thing. It is a great way to clean out the inside of a coated pot also.

Put 4 c. water in the pot as it is and bring to a boil. Add 1/4 c. baking soda and let it sit for 15 minutes. Pour the water off, add
2 T dry baking soda and scrub. It will come clean!
Good luck!

I know this sounds really silly but when I've done it I put a couple of soap powder tablets in and fill it with boiling water. Leave it for a couple of hours. You might need to give it a bit of a scrub but it should work. Good Luck xx

Is the pan coated teflon, enamel, what? If there's not a non stick surface (I assume there isn't from your question), I would suggest using Bon Ami or Bar Keeper's Friend powder and a nylon net scrubber. Should come right off.

put a small amount of hot water into the bottom of the pan and add some bicarbonate of soda, mix into a paste and leave over night.
Rinse and clean as normal. it will come off easy.
Good luck.

Put some clothes soap detergent (biological) into the pan and boil with water for 30 minutes or so - if that doesn't work - nothing will!

Boil rhubarb in it or soak it overnight with vinegar and water. Alternatively put dry biological washing powder over the burnt areas (no water) and leave overnight.
