My dad has just been released from hospital, and he had an electric riser recliner chair delivered to help him rise up onto his feet. However, it doesn't seem to be working. There is definately power going into it, as the green light on the transformer is on, but the handset is totally dead, and there is no movement at all. I have checked for loose wires etc but everything appears to be connected.

Do these chairs need charged if they have been unplugged for sometime? It may be the handset that is broken, but does anyone else have any suggestions on what could be the problem?

Thanks in advance.

My mom had one and it did not need to be "charged". I'd call the company you bought it from. Or being it is Sunday try looking online and see if their website exists with trouble shooting ideas.

If the handset is separate check if it has batteries.
