Not as long as its the senators and representatives that have to pass the law. They just love lining their pockets with that special interest money.

You'd have to repeal a part of the First Amendment, which protects the right "to petition the Government for redress of grievances", which is what lobbying is. I think that would be an uphill battle, as I think most people are loath to give up any (or should I say any more--see McCain-Feingold) of their First Amendment rights, and for good reason.

It's possible in the legal sense, of course, but I don't think very likely.

No. First, all the lobbying groups/companies would fight it with everything they had. Second, as long as they continue to funnel money to the politicians for their campaigns and for "speaking engagements" the politicians would never vote to eliminate them.
