No, I think it's a sweet day. Surely you have someone in your life that you love-a friend, parent, etc. It doesn't have to be about romantic love (that's a bonus)!

No offence to women, but I always thought valentines days was a stupid holiday in America.Love can be expressed and enjoyable any time of the year, why should valentines day be any different from all the other days of the year?Who ever made that holiday up was a *****.I never got valentines day at all.To me it's just a bunch of men and women, running around trying to be Romeo and Juliet. When I was a kid, children would make would make fun of me,just because I did not have a valentine.I would have burst out in anger and say,how f--- up is your self esteem.Your only 8 years old, what the hell do you know about love?I was only trying to learn in school, all the other boys and girls wanted to hurry up and grow up kissing and hugging at a very young age.I think valentines day is a depressing day.

It's not my favorite holiday...I think that you shouldn't have to celebrate one day out of the year expressing your love for someone...it should be done every day, and it doesn't need to have flowers or candies or a little purple teddy bear saying "I Wuv U". Sometimes, even the smallest, most simplest things could be gifts. One time, after I worked a really long day at my job, my boyfriend had the house cleaned and dinner ready. That was so nice to come home to! We should just cherish each other and never take anything or anyone for granted.

My husband is in the Army and has been gone the last 5 Valentine's Days in a row (either in Iraq or off training). I just try to ignore the day as a commercial holiday meant to convince people they have to buy stuff to show someone they love them. If you're with someone, shouldn't you let them know you love them every day?

basically the different. i attempt to do some other thing beneficial particular for my husband on Valentines Date to exhibit him how a lot I appreaciate each and everything he has done for the the different 364 days of the three hundred and sixty 5 days. My husband is an excellent guy and they broke the mold at the same time as they made him.

This is my third and counting Valentine's Day alone... it's just another commercialized holiday. If you are lonely it's not because of Valentine's day although it may sting a little more because you are reminded. keep yourself busy or spend it with friends and realize that it's not the "day" it's your situation... do something about it.

The fact that it comes so soon after Christmas makes it totally depressing.

It has become yet another overly commercialized day, just like Christmas. Unfortunately it seems to only exist to boost sales of greeting cards, chocolate and flowers. I don't need a specific day to show my husband how much I love him.

Not at all. It's a day to say I love you to anyone at all...treat your friends to a movie and have a great night.
