I think 99% want a peaceful world. The problem is that no more than 2% agree with each other on how to achieve this...and will never agree. In the end, you are left with the paradox that you must eliminate a portion of the viewpoints out there to gain world peace, and that's not very peaceful, is it?

Put yourself in others' shoes for a second.
It's easy to want peace when you live in the West and you are rich and have plenty of food, resources, comforts and opportunities.
Only desperate people want war. I'm not talking about the leaders now, because any potential leader could want war in order to have more power through newly conquered territories etc.
But I'm talking about the populations.
So, in essence, it is easy for us to say we want peace, because we have everything we want. There's a huge section of the world's population that does not have everything they want, yet, they think they deserve it, just like us.
So, unless someone figures out a system in which everyone can live comfortably, there will always be conflict. Such a system doesn't exist. It's not capitalism and it's not socialism.

100% all of us want peace. But only a few know how to get it. Some people resist violence, and according to a lot of us, they're the ones who want a peaceful, co-productive world. But, it's actually all of us. Some people are just perplexed about the methods to achieve. Some fight and are violent, some just back out of any fights possible, etc... but all of us want peace.

Deep down I think all want to live in peaceful harmony. Sadly, they don't search to find out who will truly bring it about. The Bible is quite clear that God's Kingdom, with Jesus as its King, will bring the earth back to a paradise where there will never be wars, suffering, or death again. Those who will not listen to that message will be destroyed at Armageddon.

Firstly you'd have to ask what percentage of the worlds population are power hungry, then what percentage of the worlds population are greedy, then what percentage of the worlds population are ignorant, then what percentage of the worlds population are vengeful or/and jealous, and what percentage of the worlds population believe that cr*p they print in newspapers.
You wouldn't have many left
