Wool will surely take a boil wash yet rinsing would desire to be interior the comparable temperature! What shrinks wool is the temperature substitute which happens in washing machines. Wash on chilly and trust Donald over the hair left interior the device. earlier anyone supplies a thumbs down over the boil wash for wool - while you're dying wool with organic products then that's complete on the boil.

A lot of hand knitters frown at the use of Woolite citing that it is too harsh. Some alternatives (good for hand and machine washing wools)
SOAK
Eucalan
Meadows Wool Wash
Kookaburra Woolwash
Cleaning-wise, all the above are perfectly fine. I prefer SOAK for their scents.

I have used Eucalan on several wool sweaters and scarves with success. It does not require agitation or rinsing, so there is no shrinkage. It also made the wool a bit softer.

Woolite is the best. Dreft is good also as it is so gentle, but only use the liquid.
