How many years of school does it take? Is there a job kinda like a lawyer that doesn't take so much school?

It isnt that hard, it just takes a long time to be one. First you have to go to a 4 year college, then go to law school which takes a while, then you have to take the boards exams (like a big test for law students), then if you pass you go to ur intern, and then start ur own practice.

It only takes 3 years after your bachelor's degree to get your J.D. Unless you're super competitive, and/or go to a top tier school (Harvard/Stanford/Yale, etc.), law school can actually be pretty easy.
As for jobs "kinda" like a lawyer? It depends on what you mean by that. There are a million different types of lawyers, all of whom do a million different things. Paralegal might be your best bet, I think that's only a year.
