when i was in elementary school, before valentine's day, we all decorated boxes or bags to set on our desks as "mail boxes". then the teacher would send me home with a list of all the students in my class. my mom would take me to wal-mart and i would pick out a type of valentine card that i liked. these come in boxes... we had to make sure there was enough cards in the box for the whole class. these boxes of valentines usually came with a card to give to the teacher also. then i would sign all the valentine cards the night before valentine's day.... then i would take them to school and put one in each kid's "mail box". some kids in my class would also attach candy to their cards, but my mom couldn't afford candy, too. it's a fun little thing to make the classroom crazy for a day!

You didn't say how old our son is. Just go to the store and buy those cutsey packs of valentine cards the ones the little kids like so much, bring them home and let him sign each one with the classmates name on it and his name just the first name will do. If he is older my son had me take a pic of him copy it to vellum paper put a red construction paper backing on them, put the persons he wanted to give cards to name on it and his name and happy valentines day...

He is probably supposed to take cards to give to his classmates. At Wal-Mart, Target and similar stores; boxes of Valentines cards are sold for the purpose of young kids taking them to school. They are usually based on cartoons and characters that are popular and are inexpensive. Usually they're near the card aisle with other seasonal products. For example, growing up, I would give and or receive cards with Disney characters, Animaniacs and Tweety.

Cards are good. And maybe some kisses (Hersey) or cupcakes. This will make all the children feel special.
