Without any input variables to compare, let's take a shot in the dark! Who makes you feel the best? Who would respect you as a person? Who would be comfortable being "just a friend"? Whom do you trust? Who do you know?, and I mean know! These are all questions you should ask yourself. Maybe neither one would be the path. Only you can decide. You know deep within which way is right, You need no help from us.
