I've loved watching football since my Dad introduced me to it but now i really like it after buying a season ticket for my local side!! I would love to try out rugby but my parents say they don't want me to "loose my good looks" what good looks? how can i tell them that i really want to play!?!?!?!?! confuzzled!! : (

I am a woman and have been playing rugby since i was 17 years old when I found the sport in college. I am 32 now... and i'm still sexy as hell! And in shape! In fact, my women's rugby team made a semi-nude calendar (with boots and balls in strategic locations) because we are HOT and wanted to show that we are strong, beautiful, athletic women and not the stereotypical ugly butchy women! One of my dad's proudest moments and definitely one of my highlights of rugby was watching and hearing my dad cheer me on in the first rugby match he ever watched. I was defending the try line and a huge girl ran stright at me and she was SOOOO sure she was going to run right over me. I tackled her so hard that you could hear the air rush out of her. We were right near the touch line (out of bounds) and I looked over and my dad was jumping up and down, screaming at the top of his lungs... "That's MY girl!!!!!"
We have all sorts of women that play the sport... from little tiny ones to huge monster-ishly gianourmous ones. There are utra beautiful girls- and some that don't even look like women...but, we're ALL beautiful and rugby is more than just a sport. It makes you a stronger, more self-confident person- and that's much sexier than outer beauty anyway. And guys dig rugby chicks... think of all the stories you can tell about your bruises!

I met some girls who play rugby in the top series in Italy, and some were really pretty.....so my advice can be: look for a club and find some pretty players, and show your parents that playing rugby you will not become ugly...

My daughter used to play rugby for her school she even got to play in Cardiff Arms Park and met some of the Welsh Rugby players. Just explain to your parents that it is something you would like to try and ask them to go and see a woman's rugby match with you

tell them if you really want to play that you should be able too and if you are good enough you mite be able to make it pro, coz there are international women rugby teams and play in there world cups!

If you tell them you "really want to play" and they speak English I think they will understand what you mean. I don't think it will change their feelings about you playing. When you are old enough to make decisions without their approval, then play.

normally its the front row like the props and hookerthat loose their looks. if your quick enough play in the backs either wing, centres, stand off or if your really pretty full back as i used to play. good luck

Listen to your Dad.!!!
If you really want to go and try out and first see if you can get in and then jump it on him during supper, gently and try to make him feel proud of your achievement, it's all in the way you word your feelings and if he starts to get argumentative leave it for another day.!!!
