he did play, he got about 50 or so yards. and didnt play as well.
the reason why he didnt play as well is because no one cares about the pro bowl (no offense). no one wants to participate in it or play as hard because you can risk injury, hence drew brees. thats why no one wants to play in it. they are thinking about getting rid of it, due to the fact, football is too physical and you can get an injury that can hurt you for one week to maybe even career ending. therefore, peyton manning wouldnt want to put up big time numbers just for MVP honors for the pro bowl. he just doesnt wanna get injured and end his career.

To add to Michael R's responce. Peyton Manning is not a very mobile QB. In the probowl you are playing against the best DL lineman in the league that come after the QB on every play. They do have rules about using many blitzing schemes but,they still get there pretty consistantly.It is not worth risking a career ending injury in the probowl.

He did play, i think he went 5-12 for like 52 yards, no int. and no td's, he wasnt in very long but he was in. he said he was taking it all in after the superbowl win.
