The age of sexual consent for all orientations was lowered to 16 in the UK in 2000. Prior to that it had been 18 and even 21 at one point.
The US is a mishmash of laws that vary from each state and orientation. In some states it is legal for an adult male to have sex with a girl 16, but illegal for an adult male to have sex with a boy 16. Personally, I find the sexualization of children to be tragic and would love to see the laws bump up to 18 across all orientations. But that will probably never happen.

It's 18 and 16 in some countries. Where i'm from, it's not even allowed. So yea. Just wait till you're 20 then you're free from all laws. Well, depending on where you live, that is. =D I wouldn't know i'm 16 and i've done it twice with men =P
Hence, you can just try if you're underage =P who's gonna stop you. You wouldn't expect to be riding this guy and the door gets blown down by police men do you? =| Be a little wild.

If in UK, well just follow the rules/law on your country but for me its 18 and I dont care for age. lol.

You must be 18 to have sex in the US. Not sure about UK. If anybody has sex under 18, it is statutory rape. Punishable by law.

In the US, sex between minors is not illegal. Sex between adults is not illegal. Sex between minors and adults is illegal.
Sex is only illegal when it is considered non-consentual. The law considers minors unable to think rationally with regard to sex with an adult, so they cannot give real consent (by law), hence the Statuatory Rape laws.
Same goes for sex with someone who is passed out, drugged, etc.
