Poverty can never be whipped out completely in any country because some people actually do not want to work. The best solution would be to raise the minimum wage and make sure those who want to work can. Universal Health care would also help a lot of people financially who go into poverty trying to stay alive from serious illness.

Thanks to the smart boys for concern shown for this country of ours, but the same amount of concern is not evolving among our politicians whether in power or in the opposition and the people to remove poverty from India.

Mosquitoes and poverty have come to stay permanently in India and people have to live with these maladies.

See what is happening in Tamil Nadu and Karnataka states after the Supreme court verdict on sharing of Kauveri river waters between the two states?
Both states are blaming each other and the Supreme court for the onesided judgement favouring the other state and the public ,actors, and politicians play the drama of bandh ,protests, fasting etc inconveniencing lakhs of people in both the states, with out any respect to either for the supreme court or the centre or for the federal set up of governing in India.

Let us have faith in God the Omnipotent ,the Omnipresent and the Omniscient and keep our fingers ,hands ,legs and brains busy and actively deployed to useful work , to remove poverty from India.
Congratulations ! boys for your effort and concern for the country.

Poverty can be removed if the politicians allow the poor people to grow and come out of their slums or ghettos or whatever it is called, but they will never allow it because they are their vote banks as well as their goon squads, if the poverty is alienated where will our politicians go to get all their dark deeds done.

Because many of us struggle daily to keep our own families out of poverty.
Granted, there is a percentage of the poor who are victims of circumstance but there is also a percentage of those who choose to wallow in poverty and do not make good life choices to remedy their situation. Those people are not worthy of assistance.

Because we people r not living for our country. We r just living for ourselves. We Indians r selfish and always try to avoid whats going on in the country.

Even though we try to help, we get tired soon. We people think we cant change our country. We feel we r happy so y to take tension about whole country.

So many of the people on the streets (homeless) like living that way and there are all too many whom have become accustom to living off the government. You can work all you want but if they don't want to get off their lazy butts and get a job, I have no sympathy for them.
