A scrapbok with photos and memories is best idea, but if you have time, I would get all friends and family to write something to stick in it, too.
For anyone who won't be at the party, you could try emailing them and printing out all the messages in different fonts, and sticking them in too.
You could even use photos taken at the party to make a calendar for them to use in Oz.(I made a calendar this year using Word - coul send you the template if you like!)

i think it would depend on when she is leaving, if the party is Saturday night, and she has a few days until departing, i would suggest a gift basket, filled with munchies like the type you would get from Hickory Farms,,,, crackers, cheese, mabye a bottle of wine,,, candy for the kids, just little things to snack on while they finish the packing,,,, maybe a gift certificate to a local restuarant, etc,,

What about stationary, overseas amount stamps, and all her friends' addresses in an Americana address book...e-mail included just in case. That way she can help in touch the old fashioned way or through the internet.

Take photographs of everyone at the party, make them into a collage and send it to her in Australia. (You will have to tell her you are doing it, less she will think she isn't having a present from you).
